Exhibit 1

A Journey across Four Centuries

10760 Courthouse Road

Begin your tour at Charles City’s self-service visitor information center which is housed in the county’s 1901 historic clerk’s office. The center contains 10 exhibits narrated by “virtual” hosts including the Honorable L. Douglas Wilder, the first African American governor of a state and one of many Americans with roots in Charles City. Pick up our “Tracking African American Trailblazers” brochure and encourage your children to complete the crossword puzzle as you embark on the driving tour.
